Complex Waveforms Electrical Engineering
By the time you get to this chapter having worked in a methodical way throughout the book, you’ll understand how perform calculation on complex waveforms.
Complex waveforms are waves that are made or synthesised with other waves and are produced by natural phenomena and man made devices. Its is necessary to understand and simplify/ synethesis these waveforms this in order to interact in more ways with the natural world as engineers. This book is taken from JB ECT 5th Edition.
I politely asked for his help with spotting the ommissions and making corrections and he appreciated my input. Out of the millions of books he sold I was the only one who wrote back to say: I didn’t understand how this could be correct from 2016 to 2020. I mainly worked through his book in the summer as I was more optimistic then.
Chapter Purpose
Introduces and explains the complex and sinusoidal maths behind, fourier analysis and complex harmonics. In this chapter youd learn the following:
- Define complex numbers, and recognise periodic functions,
- Recognise the general equation of a complex waveform
- Synethesis a complex Waveform
- Recognise odd, even or odd and even harmonics, with or without phase change.
- Determine fourier series for simple functions
- Perform complex waveforms and harmonics and know properties of harmonics.
My notes may not contain all the above info, their purpose is to show that I understand maths at this level of engineering and engineering, maths.
